The Tagammu Party affirmed that the Sharm El-Sheikh ceasefire agreement in Gaza represents a victory for the shared Egyptian-Palestinian principles and demonstrates the exceptional capability of Egyptian diplomacy in managing the region’s most complex issues. Egypt, with its status, will remain a driving force for security and stability in the region.

The party stated in a statement that reaching this agreement is not a fleeting event but the culmination of persistent Egyptian efforts based on a firm strategic vision and a clear ethical stance.

While praising this important diplomatic step, Tagammu sees that the agreement would not have been possible without the legendary steadfastness of the heroic Palestinian people, who wrote one of the greatest modern epics of defiance with the blood of their sons and the resilience of their women, elders, and children.

The Palestinian people transformed their tragedy into strength and their suffering into renewed international legitimacy, despite the will of the Israeli enemy and its supporters, making their cause the focus of global human conscience.

Tagammu renewed its salute to Egypt’s firm and clear position, defined by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi from the first moment of the brutal Israeli aggression, proving that Egypt has never been just a trusted mediator but a stronghold for the Palestinian cause and a solid wall against its liquidation, a steadfast companion in the darkest circumstances.

All these meanings were embodied in the historic “three no’s” which formed the first line of defense against Zionist expansionist plans: no to forced or voluntary displacement, a decisive stance rejecting any infringement on the Palestinian people’s rights to their land, home, and identity, thwarting one of the most dangerous modern colonial schemes to liquidate the cause by emptying the land of its inhabitants.

No to settlement in Gaza and the West Bank, with Egypt blocking any attempt to swallow Palestinian land or establish racist entities on it, affirming that Gaza and the West Bank are occupied territories that will one day be liberated.

No to aborting international legitimacy decisions, reaffirming the legal and moral dimension of the cause, adhering to UN resolutions, especially resolutions 242 and 338, and those recognizing the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state within the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Tagammu confirms that the road ahead is still long; despite the agreement’s importance, it is not the end but a station to stop the bloodshed, open the way for urgent humanitarian aid, and prepare the atmosphere for a new political phase.

The Sharm El-Sheikh agreement places everyone before their responsibilities and obliges the international community to bear its responsibility in pushing a serious peace process. The Zionist entity must realize that the era of impunity is over after the Palestinian people gave the world an unforgettable lesson in dignity.

Tagammu hopes this agreement will become a real window of hope, restoring the Palestinian cause to its rightful place as a national liberation issue and affirming that the will of peoples shapes history.
