Hebrew sources reported that the Israeli army declared the highest state of alert in Gaza following a series of attacks carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades targeting Israeli military sites, resulting in casualties among soldiers.

According to the newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth,” Al-Qassam fighters launched a new attack on a military site inside Gaza after a previous large-scale operation targeted a site belonging to the “Kfir” Brigade, injuring five officers and soldiers seriously due to explosions and gunfire. Sources added that Israeli forces at these locations remain on high alert, anticipating further attacks.

The escalation coincided with a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington. Israeli media reported a wide attack by Al-Qassam in the Al-Nasr neighborhood in northern Gaza City, which included firing an anti-tank missile at an Israeli incursion force, causing serious injuries.

Military helicopters evacuated wounded Israeli soldiers to three major hospitals inside Israel, while a Hebrew channel indicated that the ambush on Israeli forces resulted in about 13 soldiers killed or injured.

Meanwhile, the Hadashot 301 network reported that the confrontations in Al-Nasr neighborhood were “face-to-face” with Palestinian resistance fighters and described them as “massive and very violent,” with clashes continuing late into the night.

This escalation comes as U.S. President Donald Trump announced a new proposal to end the war, noting he received “very positive responses” from Israel and several Arab leaders, although concerns remain about the failure of any potential settlement amid ongoing Israeli intransigence.
