Political researcher Jamal Raif stated that the first draft of the ceasefire agreement has been officially signed, noting that the first phase of the agreement stipulates that 53% of the Gaza Strip area will remain temporarily under Israeli occupation control, with the rest of the areas to be gradually liberated, followed by the Israeli army’s step-by-step withdrawal to what is known as the “yellow line” inside the Strip.

Jamal Raif explained during a phone interview on the program “Hadith Al-Qahira” with journalist Hind Al-Dawawi on Cairo and the People channel that the management of the Gaza Strip in the upcoming phase will witness significant diplomatic complications, considering that we are at the beginning of a new, more difficult stage requiring political balance and real international support.

The political researcher pointed out that there is a decline in the idea of assigning Tony Blair to manage the Strip, describing Blair as one of the architects of the “Western Autumn” with a bad record in Iraq and an unsuccessful experience in the Middle East.

Jamal Raif added that US President Donald Trump is currently talking about peace, but the next phase requires choosing competent and capable figures, relying on the Palestinian Authority as the legitimate representative, confirming that “the region is facing difficult test moments amid political traps and Israeli preparations to ambush any Palestinian move.”
