Abu Dhabi Customs showcases latest solutions at GITEX 2025

The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs is presenting its Smart Customs Translator project at “GITEX Global 2025.” This project was fully developed internally, led, supervised, and contributed to by promising Emirati minds. It is an interactive platform powered by artificial intelligence technologies designed to facilitate instant communication for customs dialogues and procedures between customs employees and clients of various nationalities in more than 90 languages, by integrating voice translation, text translation, and sign language into a unified, secure platform that ensures communication accuracy and confidentiality.

The smart translator helps reduce the time required for procedures and avoid errors caused by language barriers, enhancing the quality of the client experience and improving the efficiency of customs services at border crossings.

Mohamed Hussein Al Balushi, Head of Corporate Communication and Marketing at Abu Dhabi Customs, stated that Abu Dhabi Customs’ participation in GITEX Global 2025 within the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion stems from its keenness to enhance the role of innovation and modern technology in developing customs work and providing smart services that support government directions and drive excellence and leadership in the customs sector locally and internationally.

Al Balushi pointed out that GITEX Global is an ideal platform for exchanging ideas, opening wider horizons to strengthen partnerships, anticipate the future, and explore the latest technological advancements to benefit from them in improving operational efficiency, contributing to achieving Abu Dhabi Government’s aspirations to build an advanced knowledge-based economy.

During the exhibition, the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs will showcase its most prominent technical projects and latest innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence, aiming to enhance the efficiency of the customs work system, facilitate trade movement, and provide distinguished services aligned with government directions to consolidate Abu Dhabi’s position as a global economic hub attracting investments with advanced infrastructure supporting sustainable growth.
