Japanese automaker Toyota announced on Wednesday that it will invest 680 million euros ($792 million) in a new production line in the Czech Republic to manufacture a battery electric vehicle.

The Czech government and Toyota said in a joint statement that the line will be built with a government incentive of up to 64 million euros ($75 million) to expand Toyota’s existing factory in Kolín, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) east of Prague.

This factory will become Toyota’s first plant in Europe to produce battery electric vehicles.

Prime Minister Petr Fiala said the new production line will create an additional 245 jobs at the factory, which already employs 3,200 people.

Toyota did not disclose details about the production start date or the model.
