During the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in the field of social security and pensions between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The MoU was signed on behalf of Bahrain by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and on behalf of Egypt by Ahmed Kouchouk, Egyptian Minister of Finance.
On this occasion, Sahar Rashid Abdulrahman Al Munai, CEO of the General Organization for Social Insurance, confirmed that the signing of the MoU between the General Organization for Social Insurance and the National Organization for Social Insurance of the Arab Republic of Egypt stems from the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries and the mutual keenness to continue developing them and advancing towards broader horizons by creating more opportunities for joint cooperation in various fields, achieving common goals and interests.
The MoU aims to enhance and develop cooperation between the two organizations in the field of social security and to exchange expertise, studies, and research in actuarial, administrative, and technical fields.
