The GCC Secretariat honored several Gulf talents with the GCC Medal for Civil Service and Administrative Development, awarded to distinguished government cadres who have provided significant services in civil service and administrative development, contributing effectively to human resources and government work development.
The ceremony took place alongside the 21st meeting of Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Agencies of the GCC countries, hosted by Kuwait.
Five Emirati government leaders were honored: Eng. Majid Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority; Dr. Ahoud Ali Shaheel, Director General of Ajman Digital Department; Matar Saeed Al Hamiri, CEO of Dubai Digital Government Foundation; Saeed Rashid Al Yateem, Assistant Undersecretary for Budget and Government Revenues Sector at the Ministry of Finance; and Ibrahim Salman Al Hammadi, Executive Director of Government Performance and Excellence Sector at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Eng. Majid Sultan Al Mesmar expressed pride in the honor, stating that the GCC Medal is one of the highest awards granted by the GCC to honor distinguished leaders and expertise, reflecting the support of wise leadership that made the UAE a global model in innovation, digital transformation, and citizen service.
Matar Al Hamiri expressed his pride in receiving the Gulf-wide recognition, while Dr. Ahoud Ali Shaheel said she was honored to be among the Emirati leaders awarded this prestigious medal.
Saeed Rashid Al Yateem noted that the medal reflects the UAE’s status in government administration and institutional work development.
Ibrahim Salman Al Hammadi confirmed that honoring Emirati cadres with the GCC Medal celebrates the advanced experience developed by the UAE government and attests to the excellence of Emirati government leaders and cadres in various fields.
