Al-Youm Al-Sabea TV broadcast a special coverage about a fire that broke out inside a plastic pipe warehouse on the first floor and spread to the second floor of a five-story building in Darb Al-Sheikh Faraj, Bulaq Abu Al-Ela district. The coverage, presented by Mohamed Abu Leila, referred to a statement by Cairo Governorate, which decided to form an engineering committee to assess the building’s damage from the incident and ordered the quick removal of fire aftermath after the Public Prosecution and criminal investigation completed their inspection to determine the causes of the fire. Investigators also heard testimonies from eyewitnesses and the warehouse owner to uncover the circumstances of the fire outbreak. The Cairo Civil Protection forces deployed several fire trucks and imposed a security cordon around the fire site to prevent it from spreading to neighboring areas.
