The state is keen on developing youth facilities and providing a comprehensive environment for activities and programs in Aswan Governorate, continuously supporting youth centers as effective platforms for national and community upbringing. This is part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ strategy aimed at enhancing national belonging, expanding the base of sports participation, and providing a positive competitive climate that discovers sports talents and develops youth capabilities.

The five-a-side football field at Hisa Island Youth Center in Aswan was inaugurated with support from the Dutch Football Association and a specialized company. The field covers an area of 800 square meters and is illuminated by solar energy.

In Aswan city, work is underway to complete the Al-Aqqad Youth Camp, part of the ministry’s development projects to establish and upgrade youth camps nationwide. The camp includes a set of integrated sports and service facilities, including an official football field, a five-a-side field, a multi-purpose field, a paddle tennis court, an artificial turf field, a gym hall, an activity hall, as well as a restaurant, kitchen, and equipped accommodation rooms.

The Nasr El-Nuba Youth Directorate witnessed a leap in implementing official sports fields from January 1, 2023, to May 5, 2025, with seven official fields (artificial turf – illuminated) constructed. Some were built by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, such as the youth centers of Nasr El-Nuba city, Kalabsha city, and Abu Simbel, while others were established under the President’s initiative to develop Egyptian rural villages ‘Hayah Karima’, including youth centers in Armana, Daboud, Qarsha, and Al-Arab in Al-Malki.

In the centers of Daraw and Kom Ombo, a package of youth centers, official sports fields, new constructions, and renovations are underway in various villages. Additionally, a swimming pool project is being implemented inside the Edfo Youth Center, covering an area of 1500 square meters, with 75% completion and an investment cost of 12 million Egyptian pounds. It is being established by an investor under a usufruct system for 11 years with a monthly rent set according to regulations, serving all residents of Edfo city, which has a population of 500,000. The pool is the first and only one inside Edfo city and center, contributing to providing recreational atmosphere for youth and refining their swimming skills to qualify them for local and international competitions.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports seeks to complete the implementation of official sports fields that were started several years ago but not finished. The implementation of sports and youth activities across various regions aligns with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to focus on youth and encourage them to develop their skills, investing their positive energies to serve their community and country, achieving the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030, in fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
