The Health Directorate of Qena Governorate announced today the installation of a modern mammogram device at Nag Hammadi General Hospital, dedicated to the early detection of breast tumors in women, as part of efforts to enhance the healthcare system.
Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Sadiq, Deputy Minister of Health in Qena, stated that the device represents an important addition to the health sector, as it contributes to increasing diagnostic accuracy and achieving quality standards, which helps in early tumor detection and increases the chances of successful treatment and recovery.
Sadiq pointed out that the introduction of the device is part of the President’s initiative to support women’s health, aimed at enhancing women’s healthcare services and reducing the burden of travel by providing examinations within the governorate instead of traveling to distant centers.
He confirmed that operating the device at Nag Hammadi Hospital represents a qualitative development in public medical services and ensures direct access to advanced services for citizens, positively reflecting on the quality of life and the level of health prevention in the community.
