Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, Governor of Qena, ordered the swift provision of necessary support and care for the children of the couple who died in a tragic incident in the village of Al-Taramisa, affiliated with Qena Center. The incident stirred sadness and sympathy among the residents of the governorate in a humanitarian gesture reflecting social responsibility.

Death of a Couple on the Same Day in Qena

This followed the death of the young man Youssef Diab, aged 44, after suffering a brain hemorrhage inside his home, followed hours later by his wife Nawal A., aged 35, who died from deep grief over his loss. This touching human scene moved the villagers, who described the event as a “double tragedy.”

Immediately, the Governor of Qena ordered a social investigation into the family of the deceased and granted an urgent financial aid of 10,000 Egyptian pounds, in addition to contributing to providing decent housing for the children and ensuring they receive necessary health and educational care.

The governor also tasked the Directorates of Social Solidarity, Health, Education, and Religious Endowments with providing full care and support to the family and monitoring their social and health status to ensure their psychological and living stability.

The Governor of Qena affirmed that this is a humanitarian tragedy that requires standing by the family and supporting their children during this harsh circumstance, pointing out that the state does not hesitate to extend a helping hand to any family facing such emergency conditions.
