Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received today, Monday, at the Ittihadiya Palace, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is visiting Egypt on a fraternal visit.

According to the Egyptian Presidency, the visit also comes as “an extension of the ongoing consultations and close coordination between the leaderships of the two countries.”

The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, indicated that “the meeting included an expanded session with the delegations of both countries, followed by a closed bilateral meeting between the two leaders, then a working lunch held in honor of Egypt’s distinguished guest and his accompanying delegation. The Egyptian President began the meeting by emphasizing the depth and strength of the bilateral relations between Egypt and the UAE, praising the remarkable development in cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially in trade and investment. His Excellency also expressed Egypt’s keenness to remove all obstacles facing Emirati investments, appreciating the boom witnessed in economic relations between the two sides.”

In turn, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed praised the significant development in Egypt’s investment climate, reflecting efforts to enhance the business environment and attract investments.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy explained that “the talks addressed developments in regional situations, foremost among them the situation in the Gaza Strip, where the two leaders welcomed the initiative proposed by US President Donald Trump to stop the war in the sector, affirming the importance of supporting this peaceful initiative as it paves the way for achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace in the region.”
