European leaders and officials have welcomed US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

In this regard, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her support for Trump’s peace plan in a post on the American platform “X,” urging all parties to seize the opportunity and agree to the plan.

Similarly, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Trump’s plan to stop the war in Gaza and release detainees in a post on the same platform.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated in a press release that Trump’s plan is an exceptional opportunity to end the “horrific war” in Gaza.

In the Netherlands, Prime Minister Mark Rutte (note: original text says ‘Dick Schof’ which is likely a mistranslation or error; the current PM is Mark Rutte) wrote on “X” that “with Trump’s plan, an end to the war in Gaza is possible,” emphasizing the critical importance of a ceasefire for the safe delivery of humanitarian aid and the release of detainees.
