US President Donald Trump condemned the Israeli airstrike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, on Monday morning, which resulted in the death of at least 20 people including five journalists and paramedics. Speaking from the Oval Office at the White House, Trump said, “I am not happy about that. I don’t want to see such a scene. At the same time, we must put an end to this whole nightmare.. I was the one who got the hostages out,” according to Time magazine. Footage showed the moment of the explosion that hit rescue teams searching for survivors from a previous strike on the hospital. Doctors and hospital officials confirmed that the second strike killed paramedics and journalists covering the incident alongside wounded civilians.
