Trump’s remarks came in response to the military celebrations in Beijing marking the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in the war against Japanese aggression and the global fight against fascism.

Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform: “I wish President Xi (Jinping) and the wonderful Chinese people a great and unforgettable celebration. Please send my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, while you prepare a plot against the United States of America.”

He added, “The big question to be answered is whether President Xi (Jinping) will acknowledge the enormous help and ‘blood’ the United States provided to China to help defend its freedom against unfriendly foreign invaders. Many Americans sacrificed their lives in China’s struggle for victory and glory. I hope they are properly honored and remembered for their courage and sacrifices.”

Trump’s statements came as Chinese President Xi Jinping reviewed troops at Tiananmen Square in Beijing, ahead of the large military parade marking the 80th anniversary, attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders and governments from 24 other countries.
