US President Donald Trump accused his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping of “conspiring” against his country alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, who were in Beijing to attend a massive military parade commemorating the end of World War II.

The Republican president wrote on his social media platform “Truth Social,” “I wish President Xi and the great people of China a wonderful day of celebrations.”

He added sarcastically, “Please convey my best regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un while you conspire against the United States.”

Trump emphasized that “the important question to be answered is whether President Xi will acknowledge the enormous support and blood the United States gave China to help it gain freedom from a foreign occupier.”

He added, “Many Americans died for China to achieve victory and glory; I hope they receive the honor and remembrance they deserve for their courage and sacrifices.”

Trump’s post came shortly after a massive military parade began in Beijing marking the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender and the end of World War II.

On this occasion, the Chinese president welcomed more than 20 state leaders, notably his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Xi shook hands with both Putin and Kim and the other invited leaders before they all walked on a red carpet to the parade site, with the Chinese president leading the group, walking in the center with Putin on his right and Kim on his left, according to footage broadcast by official television.
