Trump said: “I want to thank President El-Sisi for sending six Egyptian fighter jets to escort my presidential plane. We looked out the window and saw the fighters,” he added jokingly, “I thought, I hope these fighters are peaceful… there were three on each side and they were very impressive.”

Before landing at Sharm El-Sheikh airport, White House Communications Director Stephen Cheung posted videos on X showing the Egyptian jets escorting the US presidential plane.

Margaux Martin, Special Assistant and Communications Advisor to President Trump, also shared a video of the escort jets, saying: “Thank you Egypt.”

Ivanka Trump, daughter of President Donald Trump, posted videos on X showing the Egyptian jets accompanying the US presidential plane.

On Monday evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Donald Trump signed the Sharm El-Sheikh peace agreement, which includes ending the war in the Gaza Strip. Additionally, leaders of Qatar and Turkey signed a document regarding the agreement between Israel and Hamas.

During the signing of the comprehensive agreement between Hamas and Israel to end the war in Gaza at the Sharm El-Sheikh peace summit, Trump said: “I am pleased and honored to be part of this. We are signing a document that outlines many rules, procedures, and provisions… it is a comprehensive document, and we have already signed documents in the Middle East with Israel and Hamas,” noting that things are going very well and that the release of Israeli detainees occurred as scheduled according to the agreement.

Trump also noted that efforts are ongoing to locate the bodies of detainees, thanking Qatar and Turkey for their efforts in supporting peace in the region.

In his speech, Trump thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his efforts in reaching the ceasefire agreement, saying: “I thank President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who leads a country with a civilization spanning 6,000 years… President El-Sisi is a great and wonderful leader.”
