US President Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday that he is awaiting Hamas’s approval of the peace proposals.
An informed Palestinian official stated that Hamas began on Tuesday to study President Trump’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip within its leadership frameworks and with other Palestinian factions, noting that the discussion may take several days.
The official, who is close to Hamas, said the movement “today begins a series of consultations within its political and military leadership frameworks inside Palestine and abroad, and the movement will present a national response representing the movement and the resistance factions.”
He added: “The discussion may take several days due to the complexities of communication among leadership members and movement, especially after the Israeli aggression in Doha.”
He explained that consultations will begin after the movement received “a copy of Trump’s plan from the Qatari and Egyptian brothers” last night.
