US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will soon speak with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, following phone conversations earlier in the day with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several European leaders.

During a dinner with top US tech company executives, Trump was asked if he would speak with Putin soon, to which he replied, “Yes, I will speak to him.”
