US President Donald Trump announced via the “Truth Social” platform that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of the Gaza agreement proposed by the United States, which allows for the release of all Israeli hostages.

Trump stated on Truth Social, “I am honored to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan.” He added, “This means that all hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw its forces to an agreed line as initial steps toward a strong, lasting, and sustainable peace.”

He said, “It is a great day for the Arab and Islamic worlds, for Israel and all neighboring countries, and for the United States of America. We thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey who worked with us to achieve this historic and unprecedented event. All appreciation to the peacemakers!”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “With God’s help, we will bring them all home,” referring to the Israeli hostages held in Gaza, shortly after President Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had signed the first phase of the Gaza agreement. Netanyahu made these remarks in a brief statement.

Hamas announced reaching an agreement to end the Gaza war, Israeli withdrawal, entry of aid, and prisoner exchange. The movement called in a statement on Trump, the guarantor countries of the agreement, and various Arab, Islamic, and international parties to compel Israel to fully implement the agreement’s obligations.

Majid Al-Ansari, spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced on Thursday that all terms and mechanisms for implementing the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement have been agreed upon, leading to the end of the war, release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian detainees, and entry of aid. He stated on “X” that details will be announced later.
