Dubai Taxi Company announced a strategic partnership with “Kita”, the international arm of the giant Chinese delivery company “Meituan”, aiming to enhance last-mile delivery services throughout the emirate and innovate future logistics solutions.
The agreement was signed by Mansour Rahma Al Falasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, and Alex Wei, General Manager of Logistics Operations at Kita Middle East.
Dubai Taxi will operate an initial fleet of 150 delivery motorcycles, with plans to increase the number to 500 by the end of the year, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Dubai’s rapidly growing on-demand delivery market. This initiative is expected to generate revenues exceeding AED 10 million during the first twelve months.
The delivery motorcycle sector at Dubai Taxi continues to show strong growth, with revenues in Q2 2025 increasing by 102% year-on-year to reach AED 18.2 million, reflecting the company’s ability to meet changing market needs and provide high-quality logistics solutions.
In addition to expanding its motorcycle fleet, the partnership will enhance future collaboration to develop high-tech delivery solutions. By leveraging Kita’s specialized technologies, the two companies intend to explore integrating drones and autonomous vehicles within Kita’s logistics system, which will be managed in partnership with Dubai Taxi.
Mansour Rahma Al Falasi emphasized the company’s dedication to solidifying its position as a leading provider of mobility and logistics solutions in Dubai, stating, “Dubai Taxi continues to develop smart solutions in mobility and logistics, in line with Dubai’s vision for a more connected and sustainable future. The delivery sector in the UAE is witnessing remarkable growth, driven by the boom in e-commerce and on-demand delivery services.”
He added, “Online food delivery revenues are expected to exceed AED 5 billion in 2025, according to a report by Statista, with a compound annual growth rate exceeding 3%, approaching AED 6 billion by 2030.”
Dubai Taxi is investing in this rapid growth through its advanced fleet of over 2,000 delivery motorcycles, supported by a flexible and advanced operational infrastructure. Our partnership with Kita is a strategic step towards expanding and diversifying our services, enhancing our competitiveness, and positioning us as leaders in the future logistics ecosystem that includes drone and autonomous vehicle technologies.”
Alex Wei, General Manager of Logistics Operations at Kita Middle East, expressed pride in the partnership, saying, “We are pleased to collaborate with Dubai Taxi in this strategic partnership, which represents an important step towards expanding Kita’s presence in the evolving logistics market in the UAE.”
