The Second Terrorism Circuit, headed by Judge Wagdy Abdel Moneim, decided today to postpone the trial of 9 accused members of an ISIS cell in Nasr City, case number 5091 for the year 2025, Nasr City Criminal Court, to the session on November 24 for the prosecution’s pleadings.

The referral order from 2013 stated that the first accused, Um Yahya, established a terrorist cell that used force, violence, threats, and intimidation. The purpose was to disrupt public order, endanger the safety of society, its interests, and security, obstruct constitutional and legal provisions, prevent state institutions from performing their duties, violate citizens’ personal freedoms, and harm social peace.

The referral order also stated that the accused promoted committing terrorist crimes. The defendants from the second to the last were charged with joining a terrorist group, and all defendants were charged with financing terrorism.
