In his congratulatory message to agricultural workers on their professional holiday on Sunday, Putin said, “Russia not only consistently meets its own food needs but is also one of the leading food suppliers to the global market.”
He pointed out that Russia exports agricultural products to more than 160 countries worldwide.
He added that the agricultural sector “ensures the country’s sovereignty and food security for millions of people,” noting that Russia takes pride in the achievements of its agricultural sector.
He recalled that Russia managed to harvest record volumes of some types of crops in 2024 and also achieved record results in meat and poultry production.
The president affirmed that Russia will continue to enhance the competitiveness and independence of its agricultural sector.
