Suez Canal Bank won two awards from the British International Finance Magazine, including the “Fastest Growing Bank – Egypt 2025” and the “Fastest Growing Corporate Bank – Egypt 2025”. This international recognition reflects the bank’s continuous efforts to provide innovative banking services and products that meet the aspirations of all customer segments, as well as expanding the development of flexible digital and credit solutions. The bank’s selection for these awards was based on a set of criteria and a thorough study by a qualified research team to evaluate the performance and exceptional achievements of institutions. The bank has witnessed a remarkable transformation recently, especially in the corporate financing sector, building a strong and diverse client base, growing its credit portfolio while maintaining asset quality, and offering innovative financing solutions supporting vital sectors of the national economy.
Notably, the net corporate loan portfolio increased by 22% to reach 84.8 billion EGP by the end of June 2025, compared to about 69.7 billion EGP at the end of 2024. The loan portfolio growth resulted from diversified financing across sectors such as agriculture, contracting, financial services, real estate, and tourism, which helped distribute risks and diversify the bank’s client portfolio. Mr. Akef El-Maghraby, CEO and Managing Director of Suez Canal Bank, stated that this recognition reflects the success of the bank’s strategy focused on sustainable growth and expansion, as well as opening new horizons for future cooperation with partners by providing credit facilities that enable them to expand their businesses and achieve their strategic goals, contributing to economic growth. He also attributed this achievement to the efforts of the bank’s team, the main driver behind every success, and to all clients for their growing trust in Suez Canal Bank.
