Manama, September 1 /BNA/ Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of the National Cybersecurity Center, affirmed that the national cyber exercise “CYBER SHIELD 2025,” held under the slogan “Supply Chain Attacks,” reflects the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of Bahrain, may God protect and preserve him, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, in making cybersecurity a strategic priority to protect the nation’s security from increasing cyberattacks.

He expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard, and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defense Council, for his generous patronage of the exercise, his gracious attendance, and his keen directives to ensure swift implementation, which contributes to enhancing national efforts to confront evolving cyber threats targeting vital government and private sectors in the Kingdom.

Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa also expressed his great pride and honor in the success of the exercise, which witnessed wide participation from various government entities, alongside the private and vital sectors.

The exercise included a simulation of an advanced cyberattack scenario targeting supply chains, reflecting the increasing reality of cyber threats in the current era.

The CEO pointed out that this wide participation was one of the main factors in the exercise’s success, confirming that the high coordination between the participating entities and the National Cybersecurity Center significantly contributed to enhancing readiness to respond to advanced cyberattacks.

The CEO extended his thanks and gratitude to the National Cybersecurity Center team responsible for organizing the exercise and their great efforts in executing and managing it in line with the highest global standards, as well as the spirit of cooperation and coordination they showed with participants throughout the exercise period, which contributed to achieving its desired goals.
