Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu faced an embarrassing situation after being fined for exceeding the speed limit on a highway in central Turkey. Social media circulated footage showing him driving an Audi at 225 km/h, while the maximum allowed speed on that road is 140 km/h. The video was posted on Sunday evening on his X account. The minister explained that he was unaware of exceeding the speed limit as he was inspecting the current condition of the Ankara-Nigde highway. He shared a photo of the 9267 Turkish lira (264 USD) fine and promised to be more cautious in the future.
