The government has launched the Health City pharmaceutical industry project in southern Baghdad and opened three peritoneal dialysis centers in Baghdad, Nineveh, and Erbil as part of a plan to provide advanced healthcare services to citizens.

The Prime Minister stated during the event that pharmaceutical security is as important as military and food security, emphasizing the need for quality and safety in medicines, especially life-saving drugs. He noted that Iraq’s pharmaceutical market exceeds 3 billion dollars, a huge cash flow leaving the country, and confirmed the government’s ongoing support for the private sector in this field.

Health Minister Saleh Al-Hasnawi confirmed that the government has provided significant support to localize the pharmaceutical industry, noting that the “Made in Iraq” slogan has become a reality thanks to unlimited government support.

Additionally, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani directed the urgent completion of housing land distribution procedures in the Al-Sukhriya area of Dhi Qar province to members of the Ministry of Defense, preventing any investment transactions or violations, in appreciation of their sacrifices.
