The headquarters of the Lawyers’ Organization in Bejaia hosted a press conference overseen by Captain Driss Abdel Rahman, where the official announcement was made about organizing the third edition of the International Advocacy Competition to be held in the city of Bejaia in June 2026.

During the conference, the captain revealed the appointment of ambassadors for this edition from various regions around the world to promote the event and contribute to its success. Ms. Lina Biagi from the Geneva organization in Switzerland and Ms. Jamila Makhfi from the “Can” organization in France were chosen to represent Europe. Mr. Ali Tamam from the Lebanon organization was appointed ambassador for the Middle East, Mr. Walid Lebrajeb from Libya for North Africa, Mr. Paul Choubi from Cameroon for Africa, and Ms. Veritel Torres Perez from the “Havana” organization in Cuba for Latin America.

This competition is organized as part of the Bejaia Lawyers’ Organization’s efforts to establish its international presence and open new horizons for exchange among lawyers from different countries, as well as to promote the culture of defending freedoms and advancing human rights. Captain Driss Abdel Rahman confirmed that the third edition will be richer than its predecessors in terms of the quality of participants and the added value expected from the pleadings presented during this international legal event.

The international advocacy competition also aims to encourage young lawyers to showcase their oratory skills and develop their advocacy abilities, in addition to creating a space for positive competition and exchange of experiences between different legal systems around the world.
