On August 16, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Osairi, CEO of the Bahrain Space Agency, participated in a specialized technical seminar on “Cybersecurity Solutions for the Satellite Industry” organized by the American company Wolf SSL, a global leader in space security. The seminar reviewed the latest technical solutions to protect space infrastructure from advanced cyber threats. Dr. Al-Osairi praised the seminar’s focus on securing space communications through encryption solutions compliant with space standards, quantum-resistant encryption to protect data from future attacks, ensuring operating system integrity using tested standard products to secure satellite launch and operation, and the use of advanced applications such as missile systems and critical space stations according to DO-178 certification requirements. He affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to building secure space systems, stating: “Given the increasing reliance on space assets, cybersecurity solutions are a strategic necessity.

At the Bahrain Space Agency, we are developing national security systems that rely on such technologies across all satellite and payload projects designed by the agency’s engineers and technicians, who have recorded several advanced innovations in this field, notably those included in the Al-Munther satellite payloads.”
