Dr. Tamer Madkour, Head of the Health Affairs Sector in Cairo Governorate, stated that medical convoys continue their work inside Al-Abbasiya Psychiatric Hospital, successfully providing 834 free medical services to citizens across various specialties within two days. The convoy includes a selection of doctors and consultants in internal medicine, ENT, surgery, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopedics, along with medical laboratory tests, radiology services, and free medication dispensing. This initiative reflects the Ministry of Health’s commitment to providing comprehensive and integrated health services to citizens. Dr. Madkour emphasized that these convoys are part of the Egyptian state’s ongoing efforts to support the health system and implement the ministry’s plan to extend healthcare coverage to different areas and hospitals, especially for the most needy groups, thereby achieving health justice and reinforcing the concept of integrated care.
The medical convoys will continue according to a specific schedule targeting the expansion of coverage to various districts of Cairo, highlighting the state’s special attention to the health of Egyptian citizens as a cornerstone of comprehensive development.
