Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, participated on behalf of the Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly this evening in the celebration held by the Malaysian Embassy in Cairo on the occasion of Malaysia’s National Day, representing the Egyptian government.

During his speech, Dr. Sherif Farouk conveyed the congratulations of the Egyptian government and people to Malaysia’s leadership and people on this national occasion, expressing Egypt’s appreciation for the distinguished historical relations between the two countries, which continue to develop in various fields.

The minister affirmed the Egyptian political leadership’s keenness, headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to strengthen cooperation with Malaysia in economic, commercial, and investment fields, reflecting the deep brotherly relations between the two peoples and serving their common interests.

Dr. Sherif Farouk also pointed out that Egyptian-Malaysian relations represent a model of cooperation based on mutual respect and shared understanding, confirming Egypt’s aspiration for further coordination between the two countries in regional and international forums to support stability and development in the Arab and Islamic worlds.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Ambassador to Cairo expressed his thanks and appreciation for Dr. Sherif Farouk’s participation on behalf of the Egyptian government in the celebration, affirming his pride in the deep relations between Cairo and Kuala Lumpur and his country’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields.
