Algeria will host the 4th edition of the African Intra-Trade Fair from September 4 to 10, 2025. The event focuses on supporting startups, young and diaspora talents, developing the automotive industry, and enhancing economic and cultural integration among African countries. The fair covers all economic sectors and aims to establish Algeria as a bridge for continental cooperation.
Minister of Communication Mohamed Meziane stated that the fair represents the largest economic event on the continent and reflects Algeria’s commitment to supporting African joint action and economic integration to achieve sustainable development. He emphasized that the fair sends an economic, humanitarian, and cultural message to promote intra-African trade and the free trade area.
Economic expert Mouloud Khalif described the event as the “World Cup” of economic and continental integration, expecting over 2,000 exhibitors and 35,000 visitors from 140 countries, with deals exceeding $44 billion anticipated. He noted that the event attracted major economic powers outside Africa such as Switzerland, Japan, Malaysia, India, and Jordan.
The fair’s program includes diverse activities such as the Africa Day on September 5, B2B meetings between Algerian and African businessmen, a trade and investment forum, the African automotive exhibition, research and innovation initiatives, and the “CANEX” cultural pavilion. Startups will have a dedicated space to showcase their innovative projects and connect with investors.
The Ministry of Communication has prepared a comprehensive media environment with over 1,100 local accreditation requests and 175 from foreign press, providing advanced technical facilities to ensure extensive coverage of the event.
