This morning, the Egyptian Red Crescent dispatched the 44th “Zad Al-Izza .. From Egypt to Gaza” convoy, consisting of several trucks carrying urgent humanitarian aid towards the Gaza Strip, as part of its ongoing efforts as a national mechanism to coordinate aid to Gaza.

On its 44th day, the “Zad Al-Izza” convoy carried nearly 160,000 food baskets, tons of flour, medical and relief supplies, and diesel. This is part of Egypt’s efforts to provide food and relief support to the people of Gaza.

The “Zad Al-Izza .. From Egypt to Gaza” convoy, launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent, began on July 27, carrying thousands of tons of aid including food supply chains, flour, baby milk, medical supplies, therapeutic medicines, personal care items, and tons of fuel.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present as a national mechanism to coordinate and facilitate aid to Gaza at the border since the start of the crisis. The Rafah crossing from the Egyptian side has never been completely closed, and the organization has maintained readiness at all logistical centers with ongoing efforts to allow the entry of aid, which has exceeded half a million tons of humanitarian and relief supplies, supported by 35,000 volunteers.
