On Wednesday, the Egyptian Red Crescent dispatched the 29th “Zed Al-Izza… From Egypt to Gaza” convoy, carrying several trucks loaded with urgent humanitarian aid towards the southern Gaza Strip via the Kerem Abu Salem crossing, as part of its ongoing efforts as the national mechanism coordinating aid to Gaza.

The 29th convoy of “Zed Al-Izza” carried approximately 2,700 tons of essential aid, including over 2,500 tons of food baskets and flour, along with tons of necessary medical and relief supplies needed by the Gaza Strip. This comes within the framework of Egypt’s efforts to provide food and relief support to the people of Gaza.

The “Zed Al-Izza… From Egypt to Gaza” convoy, launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent, started on July 27, carrying thousands of tons of aid including food supply chains, flour, baby milk, medical supplies, therapeutic medicines, personal care items, and tons of fuel.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present at the border since the beginning of the crisis as the national mechanism for coordinating and dispatching aid to Gaza. The Rafah crossing from the Egyptian side has never been completely closed, and the organization has maintained readiness at all logistical centers and continued efforts to allow the entry of aid, which has exceeded half a million tons of humanitarian and relief assistance, supported by 35,000 volunteers.
