Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the continued Israeli violations and incursions into Syrian territory, considering them a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the sister Syrian Arab Republic and international law, as well as the disengagement agreement signed between Syria and Israel in 1974. This comes amid escalating tensions in the Sweida province. The Kingdom affirmed its full support for the Syrian government’s measures to achieve security and stability in Syria, preserve civil peace, and uphold the sovereignty of the state and its institutions over all Syrian lands. It also firmly rejected any separatist calls to divide Syria, urging all components of the Syrian people to resort to reason, prioritize wisdom and dialogue, and unite to continue building the new Syrian state.
The Kingdom renewed its call to the international community to stand by the sister Syrian Arab Republic, support it in achieving security, stability, and sovereignty over its entire territory, and take a serious and firm stance against the ongoing Israeli violations in Syria.
