Major General Dr. Obeid Allah Al-Maaytah, Director of Public Security, met today with a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Affairs, headed by Deputy Minister for Emergency Affairs Munir Mustafa. During the meeting, Al-Maaytah emphasized the Public Security Directorate’s commitment to continue supporting its counterparts in sister countries, based on the wise directives of the Hashemite leadership, to strengthen civil protection and emergency response foundations. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to deepen security and humanitarian cooperation between Jordan and Syria to enable effective and professional handling of various challenges. Deputy Minister Munir Mustafa praised the advanced level of the Public Security Directorate and its specialized units, stressing the importance of benefiting from Jordanian training expertise and accumulated experience.
He expressed Syria’s gratitude for the exceptional efforts of the Jordanian firefighting team during the recent fires in Latakia Governorate, appreciating Jordan’s swift response in supporting its Syrian brothers, reflecting Jordan’s historic stance in aiding friendly and sister countries.
