The national youth and female kickboxing team finished in 16th place at the conclusion of the World Cup Championship held in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.
The team ranked 16th overall among the participating teams with a total of six medals at the end of the matches, which featured 2,727 athletes from 40 countries. They won four gold medals by Hudhaifa Al-Habashneh in the 54 kg category, Ahmed Al-Bashabsheh in the 60 kg category, Hamza Al-Haj Hasan Al-Tamari in the 75 kg category, and Abeer Subh in the over 70 kg category. A silver medal was won by Tala Al-Bazam in the 52 kg category, and a bronze medal by Yazan Abu Owais in the 91 kg category.
The overall ranking was topped by Uzbekistan with a huge medal count of 783 medals, followed by Kazakhstan in second place, Tajikistan third, Turkey fourth, Poland fifth, India sixth, Azerbaijan seventh, Finland eighth, UAE ninth, Algeria tenth, Ukraine eleventh, and Iraq twelfth.
The national team delegation to Uzbekistan was headed by Abdullah Hani Abu Roman, a member of the federation’s board, and included coaches Adi Ali Al-Maharmah, Mohammad Farhan Salama, Ali Ahmed Khalaf, physiotherapist Svetlana Dravisha, along with players Ahmed Al-Bashabsheh, Youssef Mustafa, Hamza Hasan, Bara Abu Jamal, Hudhaifa Al-Habashneh, Bara Naifa, Tala Al-Bazam, and Abeer Subh.
