Security forces at the Minya Security Directorate recently arrested a worker accused of killing his brother following a verbal dispute in the village of Al-Hawarta in Minya district.
Major General Hatem Hassan, Assistant Minister of Interior for Minya Security, received a report from Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Al-Ashiri, Head of Investigations at Minya West Police Station, stating that the investigations unit arrested Ahmed A. R., in his thirties, after he killed his brother Rabie A. R. following a dispute between them.
The body was transferred to the morgue of Minya University Hospital under the custody of the Public Prosecution, which ordered a forensic examination to determine the cause and circumstances of death.
A report was filed, legal procedures were taken, and the competent authorities were notified to begin investigations, hear eyewitness testimonies, and interrogate the family to fully uncover the incident’s details.
