The poultry markets in Alexandria witnessed a decline in poultry prices today, Tuesday, alongside a noticeable rise in egg prices, amid expectations of relative price stability in the coming period due to improved weather and increased supply. White chicken prices ranged between 73 and 75 EGP per kilo, while red Baladi chicken was about 115 EGP per kilo, and Fayoumi Baladi chicken reached 135 EGP. Pane prices ranged from 180 to 200 EGP per kilo, thighs between 70 and 75 EGP, and liver and gizzards at 90 EGP per kilo. Other birds included Sudanese duck at around 150 EGP per kilo, pigeon pairs between 180 and 250 EGP, and local rabbit at about 140 EGP per kilo. Egg prices rose significantly, with red egg cartons at 155 EGP, white eggs at 144 EGP, and local eggs at 135 EGP per carton.

Ahmed Atef, a market trader, noted moderate sales activity and expects demand to improve with the start of the school season and the return to regular daily life, alongside stable weather conditions. The poultry and egg market in Alexandria is influenced by seasonal factors, supply and demand changes, and feed and transportation costs. Traders hope for stable prices in the coming weeks to ensure steady sales amid recent price fluctuations.
