Grapes have ranked fifth among the most important Egyptian agricultural exports during the current export season, with exports reaching about 170 thousand tons. This confirms the increasing status of this strategic crop in international markets, reflecting significant efforts to enhance the quality of Egyptian products and open new markets. This success is attributed to several key factors, notably the high quality of the diverse Egyptian grape varieties and the early harvest timing, which gives them a competitive advantage in global markets. Expansion plans by exporters have helped reach promising new markets in the European Union, Russia, and East Asian countries, directly contributing to these record figures. This achievement provides a strong boost to the national economy by contributing to foreign currency earnings and supporting farmers and workers in the agricultural sector.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms its continued support for the sector by developing agricultural infrastructure and encouraging the use of modern technologies to maintain and increase this export momentum. The grape sector is expected to continue achieving positive growth rates, confirming its pivotal role in strengthening the Egyptian economy.
