Ambassador Mohamed Al-Arabi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the Afro-Asian Peoples Solidarity Organization, expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to the Egyptian political leadership, headed by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for the decision to appoint him as a member of the Egyptian Senate, praising the state’s confidence in selecting him as part of the council’s formation.

Al-Arabi affirmed that this decision reflects the leadership’s belief in the necessity to expand the base of national participation and benefit from diplomatic and legislative expertise to support the march of the new republic.

The ambassador explained that today the world is rallying around the vision of the Egyptian political leadership in managing regional and international files with great balance and effectiveness, pointing out that Egypt’s growing stature on the international stage is the fruit of wise foreign policies that have preserved the constants of the Egyptian state and enhanced its regional and international influence.

Al-Arabi added that the Senate is a legislative chamber with an advisory nature and specialized expertise, requiring cadres capable of formulating deep visions and providing objective advice for the benefit of the homeland.

He confirmed that he will work to employ his experience spanning more than four decades in diplomatic work, whether through his previous chairmanship of the Foreign Relations Committee in the House of Representatives or during his work as Egypt’s ambassador in several major capitals, to enrich legislative debate and provide intellectual and political support for national policies aimed at enhancing the supreme interests of the Egyptian state.

Ambassador Mohamed Al-Arabi stressed that his appointment to the Senate constitutes an incentive to continue giving in support of the state’s vision to build the new republic, affirming that the current phase requires the concerted national efforts to ensure stability and deepen sustainable development, goals he will work to achieve from his new position in the legislative authority in line with Egypt’s comprehensive strategy for development and construction.
