The daily report of the Egyptian Exchange revealed the execution of a deal on Nobila Investment and Tourism Development Company during yesterday’s trading session, Monday, in the off-floor market (block trades) with a trading volume of 250,000 shares valued at 50 million EGP. Another deal was executed on Middle East Vaccines Company with a trading volume of 104,400 shares worth 37.5 million EGP, and a deal on Al-Badr Investment and Commercial Markets Company with a trading volume of 6.4 million shares valued at 6.4 million EGP.
According to the Egyptian Exchange daily report, the trading volume in the off-floor market (block trades) reached 6.8 million shares worth 104.8 million EGP through 56 transactions.
The Egyptian Exchange ended yesterday’s Monday session with a collective rise in indices for the second consecutive session, driven by buying operations from Egyptian investors, while Arab and foreign transactions tended to sell. Market capitalization gained 21 billion EGP, closing at 2.564 trillion EGP.
The trading volume on shares reached 1.2 billion securities valued at 4.9 billion EGP, through 111.6 thousand transactions for 218 companies. Egyptians accounted for 90.17% of total transactions, foreigners 4.72%, Arabs 5.11%, institutions 25.34%, and individuals 74.65%.
The net transactions of Egyptian, Arab, foreign individuals, and Arab and foreign institutions tended to sell by 187.3 million EGP, 85.6 million EGP, 2.6 million EGP, 617.5 thousand EGP, and 233.5 million EGP respectively, while Egyptian institutions tended to buy by 509.6 million EGP.
The EGX 30 index rose by 0.62% to close at 36,391 points, the EGX 30 Capped index increased by 0.68% to close at 44,752 points, the EGX 30 Total Return index jumped by 0.61% to close at 16,359 points, and the EGX 35 Low Volatility index rose by 0.72% to close at 3,973 points.
The EGX 70 Equal Weight index for medium and small companies increased by 1.13% to close at 10,961 points, the EGX 100 Equal Weight index rose by 1.06% to close at 14,526 points, the Islamic Sharia index jumped by 0.93% to close at 3,620 points, while the Tameez index declined by 1.24% to close at 15,500 points. The Treasury Bonds index remained stable at 2,190 points.
