The Ministry of Health and Prevention, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, participated in implementing a set of innovative initiatives as part of the unified campaign “Accident-Free Summer” to raise awareness of preventive measures aimed at protecting the health and safety of community members, reducing traffic accidents, and avoiding heat-related illnesses during the summer season.
The ministry’s participation includes carrying out a package of field awareness activities in cooperation with partners in the northern Emirates, covering safe land travel, health of drivers and passengers, avoiding leaving children inside vehicles, and providing first aid kits.
Dr. Hussein Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for the Public Health Sector, affirmed that the ministry’s efforts in the campaign extend a participatory approach with the Ministry of Interior to enhance the safety of community members on the roads.
Meanwhile, Brigadier Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harthy, Chairman of the Federal Traffic Council at the Ministry of Interior, confirmed the ministry’s keenness to be a key partner in initiatives that enhance community protection and prevention in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
