Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, and Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, to discuss mechanisms to facilitate the release of vehicles for persons with disabilities, in accordance with the governing laws and regulations.

This meeting comes within the directives of the political leadership to enhance services provided to persons with disabilities, aiming to ease their burdens and ensure support reaches those entitled, while preserving state resources and preventing any attempts at manipulation.

The ministers agreed to strengthen oversight and implement strict governance procedures on the vehicle import system to ensure transparency and fairness. The meeting also discussed supporting the investment environment and alleviating burdens on companies that have incurred costs importing vehicles according to current regulations.

The discussion included facilitating vehicle release procedures and exploring policies to allow the release of vehicles with specific engine capacities located in customs zones, while respecting the governing laws.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Peter Wagih, Assistant Minister of Health for Therapeutic Medicine; Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hakim, Head of the Central Administration for Therapeutic Medicine; Counselor Mohamed El-Menshawy, Legal Advisor to the Minister; Dr. Mohamed El-Akkad, Director of Specialized Medical Councils; Dr. Mohamed Abdel Maksoud, Deputy Minister for Financial Affairs; Ahmed Amoui Rubin, Head of Customs Authority; Dr. Amani El-Wesal, Head of the Agreements Sector at the Ministry of Finance; Gamal Ezzat, Head of the Central Administration for Foreign Trade; and Gamal El-Badry, Director General of the Foreign Trade Office in Port Said.
