Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call today with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss developments related to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and joint efforts to support its implementation.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, stated that President Sisi congratulated President Trump on his diligent efforts in reaching the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

President Trump expressed his great happiness with this achievement and his pride in his strong relationship with President Sisi, praising Egypt’s pivotal role during the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations, which attracted global attention in recent days until the ceasefire agreement in Gaza was reached.

During the call, President Sisi emphasized the importance of moving forward with the implementation of the agreement at all stages, stressing the need for continued coordination between Egypt and the United States to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire and enhance peace prospects in the region.

President Sisi also invited President Trump to participate in the celebration that Egypt will host to mark the signing of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which the U.S. President welcomed, expressing his eagerness to visit Egypt, a country he holds in high regard.
