On Wednesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi invited his American counterpart Donald Trump to attend a potential agreement signing in Egypt, if reached during the ongoing negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh.

During his speech at the Police Academy in Cairo, the Egyptian president referred to Egypt’s continuous efforts over the past two years to stop the Gaza war.

He added, “Now in Sharm El-Sheikh, negotiations are underway to end the war, and our hearts are all with these talks. I express my deep appreciation and respect for President Trump’s genuine will to end the war during the current round of negotiations.”

Sisi sent a message to President Trump to continue supporting reaching an agreement on Gaza, affirming Egypt’s keenness to positively engage with the Palestinian cause.

He continued, “The news I received about the Sharm El-Sheikh meetings is encouraging, and we hope to seize the opportunity and ensure the war ends in the current round of negotiations.”

The president also confirmed that the region is going through difficult and harsh conditions, pointing to Egypt’s ability to overcome any challenge and confront any danger. He added, “We have managed to overcome terrorism, and the situation in Egypt is reassuring.”

President Sisi stressed that no one can threaten the Egyptian state, affirming its ability to overcome any challenge and confront any danger.
