As part of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ commitment to participate in major tourism events and diversify the markets exporting tourism to Egypt, the ministry, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, is participating in the 62nd edition of the international tourism exhibition TTG Travel Experience 2025, currently held in the city of Rimini, Italy.
The Egyptian pavilion was inaugurated by Engineer Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Strategic Administration Affairs and Acting CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, and Walid Osman, the Egyptian Consul in Milan, in the presence of Mohamed Fawzy, responsible for the Italian file at the General Administration of Foreign Offices at the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion.
Engineer Ahmed Youssef explained that the Italian market is one of the most important markets exporting tourism to Egypt, noting a 49% increase in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year.
He also emphasized the authority’s keenness to continuously participate in the TTG Travel Experience international tourism exhibition, as it is one of the most important tourism exhibitions in the Italian market, providing a good opportunity to meet the exhibition visitors as well as industry partners such as tour operators and decision-makers in the tourism sector to exchange visions and ideas to attract more inbound tourism from this market.
During the participation in the exhibition, Engineer Ahmed Youssef held several professional meetings with senior tour operators, representatives of tourism companies, and media in the Italian market to discuss ways to enhance cooperation relations in the coming period and work plans to promote the diverse destinations, patterns, and tourism products that the Egyptian tourist destination enjoys, as well as to learn about the latest developments in the Italian tourism sector and the trends of Italian tourists.
These meetings also highlighted new tourism patterns and products in the Egyptian destination, as well as new tourist destinations that the state seeks to place on the global tourism map, including the North Coast area, the new city of Alamein, in addition to the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the major national projects scheduled to open on November 1st.
This year, the authority participates in the exhibition with a 220-square-meter pavilion designed in a Pharaonic style with a modern touch, equipped with large display screens to show promotional films about various tourist destinations, as well as a set of static advertisements at the exhibition and at Rimini train station about the Egyptian destination.
The current edition of the exhibition witnesses a great turnout from Egyptian hotel establishments and tourism companies, with 12 tourism companies and 13 hotel establishments participating in the Egyptian pavilion.
It is worth noting that the TTG Travel Experience international tourism exhibition is the largest and most important tourism event in Italy, with more than 70,000 visitors expected this year. It is organized under the sponsorship of the main organizing company Italian Exhibition Group, the local council of Rimini city, the Ministry of Tourism of Italy, and the Italian Tourism Companies Federation Fiavet.
