Swede Alex Norén returned to victory after seven years in the DP World Tour by winning the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo. This victory raised his career total to 11 titles. Norén scored 16 under par, earning 835 points and advancing to 27th place in the Race to Dubai rankings with 967 points. The season includes 42 tournaments in 26 countries, culminating in the final playoffs in November in the UAE. Danish players Nicolai Højgaard and Kazuki Higa also advanced in the rankings, while Rasmus Højgaard secured a spot on the European team for the Ryder Cup in September.
