Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef has begun an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, leading a high-level delegation from the Saudi industrial sector to participate in an international trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry held in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The visit focuses on strengthening industrial cooperation between the two countries, exchanging expertise with leading industrial nations, and exploring opportunities to build effective industrial partnerships that contribute to transferring advanced technologies and attracting quality investments to the Kingdom, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
During the visit, the minister will inaugurate the Saudi pavilion at the exhibition, showcasing the development of Saudi industry, investment opportunities in the transformative chemicals sector, advanced manufacturing, and several priority industrial sectors, in addition to the enablers provided to investors. The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, along with the exhibition’s CEO, will chair a roundtable meeting attended by leaders of major global industrial companies to review the quality opportunities available in the Saudi industrial sector and the competitive advantages of the investment environment in the Kingdom.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia and Germany enjoy strong economic relations, with non-oil trade volume between the two countries reaching 39.07 billion Saudi Riyals in 2024, and the value of German investments in the Kingdom exceeding 14.62 billion Saudi Riyals; reflecting the confidence of German companies in the Saudi investment environment.
