His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, received today in Cairo His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, to the President of Egypt, wishing him good health and happiness, and wishing the brotherly Egyptian people continuous progress and prosperity. The Egyptian President, in turn, conveyed his greetings to His Highness the Emir, wishing him good health and happiness and wishing the Qatari people further development and growth.
During the meeting, they reviewed the cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries, developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and the joint intensive efforts led by Qatar and Egypt in the mediation file in Gaza to reach an agreement to end the war, alleviate humanitarian suffering in the Strip, ensure the protection of civilians, and exchange detainees and prisoners, in addition to several regional and international issues of common interest.
